They will have experience working with a team to accomplish routine tasks, to standard, on a daily basis. We are not looking to train anyone to do common, basic chores. We seek someone who is a motivated, organized self- starter who is committed to learning and growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and check into the payroll app.
  • Herd horses into the catch pen, halter correctly, groom well.
  • Saddle and bridle up to 60 horses by 8:00 AM.
  • Keep the area clear of manure.
  • Greet guests and assist the corral boss in coordinating rides.
  • Guide and provide a high level of service to guests.
  • Unsaddle and clear the area of manure after the last ride.
  • Additional duties in the saloon area and with the goats after the last ride.

Horse Care Expectations

  • Treat horses with kindness and respect—no elbow jabs, kicks, or rough handling.
  • Monitor and maintain water levels and prevent pen flooding.
  • Ensure horses have adequate feed, salt, and minerals daily.
  • Groom horses properly to keep them shiny and healthy.
  • Bridle and unbridle with care—no clunking teeth or bending ears.
  • Throughout the day, check for low-hanging reins, dragging ropes, and saddles slipping.
  • Apply fly repellent frequently.

Pay

💰 $11.81/hour to $14.81/hour (depending on chosen tasks)


💵 Generous tips from satisfied guests

Schedule

⏰ 7:00-8:00 AM to 4:00, 5:00, or 6:00 PM

Other Important Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time with boots in the corral.

  • Always cover assigned shifts.

  • Ensure rides return within 1-3 minutes of expected time.

  • Keep the kitchen tidy.

  • Stock toilet paper and clean bathroom seats.

  • Sweep deck and office.

  • Greet guests and engage with them—treat them like family.

  • Assist with trail maintenance.

  • Maintain a safe environment and communicate concerns.
